Teaching Nancy has over 14 years of collegiate teaching experience. Initally at The University of Connecticut and at Manchester Community College as an adjunct professor. From September 2000–May 2007 she was an assistant professor of visual communication design at the Hartford Art School, University of Hartford. Other classes Nancy has taught have included digital media, foundations, career development and various Macintosh software classes (basic and advanced). In the summer of 1997, Nancy taught at the Creative Center for Youth at Wesleyan University. Her students' focus was introduction to black & white photography. Nancy's current scholarship and research direction – in design, art and education – is focused on experiential learning, the interdisciplinary nature of design, and utilizing the design process as a tool for learning.
