Last Day of class

This was our last class. The students were required to fill out a semester-end reflection sheet. It asked them many questions about themselves, their work and what they learned. Their final project 4 was due and graded. Below are a few photos displaying their thinking.

Lastly, students are selling work. Many items were sold from MCC on Main and from the MHS school showcase. I bought a few myself. Great work overall and lovely to wear!!

Wow, five months went by quickly. I guess when you are having a great time, working with great people time flies. I have had a wonderful time working with Ms. Burns and the students of the Exploring Jewelry class. They taught me many things about working with high school students and youth in general. I love their energy and boundless creativity! I learned about jewelry making techniques, tools and patience when working with certain materials. I hope the students learned many things from me. Their work exhibited it, and I am hopeful they will bring design-thinking forward into their daily lives.

Ms. Burns will move forward next year with this content. This blog will continue to be a host of inspirational education material for her and for others. Enjoy.
